THEME: WATER ELEMENTS INSPIRED BY STREAM TEAM PHOTOGRAPHY
POPULAR VOTE
This will be a fun show for the public. The Show is the result of a collaboration between Middleton Arts Association, the Middleton Cultural Council, the Stream Team and the Show host, the Flint Public Library.
The Steam Team has been capturing amazing images for years related to the waterways of Middleton. Since the Flint
Public Library is offering a Spring reading program entitled “The Fish Philosophy”, we thought it would be interesting to marry the programs and have fun with the “play on words”.
Each Artist will choose a Stream Team photograph to paint. The Medium will be Artist’s choice. The Show includes greater than 50 paintings. The photographs, with Photographer’s name, will be displayed beside each Artist’s painting. The Steam Team has provided 100 beautiful and interesting photographs. The images are spectacular.
The Popular Vote is lots of fun and gives our Artists an opportunity to learn which pieces inspire the viewer. Ribbons will be awarded in seven categories: Acrylic, Drawing, Mixed Media, Oil, Pastel , Watercolor and Best in Show.
The Show will be on Exhibit at the Flint Public Library until Friday, May 1.
